Wines made by cork's owner, Darryl Joannides, bear his Italian family name, VIOLA. His latest release is this full-bodied Sangiovese made with grapes purchased from the former Nicolas Cole vineyard in Walla Walla, WA. Grown using the VINEA sustainable growing guidelines for this vineyard, we were very excited by the quality of fruit. The wine was aged 14 months in once and twice used French barrels, then aged 6 months in bottle before its release in November 2009. Come try a bottle today. |
