ALBERTA WINES

Alberta Wines are a cooperative venture between cork and some of the Northwest's best wineries. Our goal is to produce affordably priced wines with strong varietal character that are fruit forward and ready to drink. In keeping with the spirit of the community, ten percent of the profits from the sale of all alberta wines are donated to local charities that contribute to making Alberta Street and the neighborhood a better place for everyone.

Alberta Pinot Noir

2009 ALBERTA Pinot Noir
$17.50 reg • $15.75 cork club

The 2009 ALBERTA Pinot Noir is a blend of 3 different Willamette Valley vineyards that each offered their own characteristics, but come together to give a fuller-bodied Pinot with strawberry and cherry aromas and a good deal of structure. In fact, the French oak used to age this wine for 10 months is still pretty evident, but as the wine continues to evolve in the bottle over the next year, it should settle down and the purity of the fruit aromatics will push to the front. With just 75 cases produced, stop by the shop and get yours now. 10% of the profits from all sales of ALBERTA Pinot Noir will benefit Community Cycling Center, a nonprofit organization located on Alberta Street committed to broadening access to bicycling and its benefits through hands-on programs, volunteer projects, and a neighborhood bike shop. Supporting cycling and drinking Pinot - what could be more Portland!
