Have a great weekend, Darryl 2006 FORTIA Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc (Reg. $40) cork club $33.50 · nonclub price $36 If you already enjoy the full-bodied white wines made in the Rhone from grapes like Marsanne, Roussane and Grenache Blanc, then you shouldn't miss the 2006 bottling from Fortia.  If you tend to enjoy domestic Viognier and rich, round Chardonnay, you also need to check this out.  Domaine Fortia is one of the oldest estates in Chateauneuf du Pape, in fact they are the ones responsible for getting Chateauneuf AOC status.  This hearty white has classic banana notes and I get a little pineapple Lifesavers as well.  The tropical flavors mix with the structure from barrel aging to yield a wine that is equally at home with seafood stews and poultry dishes.  Only a little of the 2006 remains - get it while you can! NV GRAHAM BECK Brut (Reg. $18.75) cork club $16/bottle · $17.50 nonclub price We might have mentioned before that President Obama served this South African sparkler at his inauguration back in January.  While the country continues to celebrate a new Administration, you can celebrate a little on your own with an affordable bottle of true methode champenoise bubbly.  Very dry, this Brut has a touch of cream and wheat.  It's everything a good Champagne should be, except it comes from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes grown on the Western Cape! 2006 HUBER-VERDEREAU Bourgogne Rouge (Reg. $21) cork club $17.85  · $19 nonclub price Thiebault Huber is quickly becoming a cork favorite from Burgundy.  He continues to deliver great quality at a good value.  I personally enjoy the branch/twig quality that this dry, earthy and definitely old-world style Pinot Noir exhibits.  With roast turkey or root vegetable soup, it will really hit the spot.  When was the last time you enjoyed a Pinot from Burgundy that cost less than most Willamette Valley bottlings?  Time to revisit! 2006 INAMA Soave Foscarino (Reg. $25) cork club $21 · nonclub $22.50 To say that Stefano Inama sees the world through rose colored glasses is probably an understatement.  A gregarious character, he set about to resurrect the soured name of Soave and has done so successfully.  And while he has ventured on to make some glorious reds as well (Bradissismo and Binomio among our favorites), his classic Garganega-based whites are the bread and butter of the Inama estate.  Today we focus on the Foscarino bottling.  Made from 100% Garganega, the wine is fermented and aged in used barriques, adding a richness and dimension to the wine without imparting an oaky flavor.
